Jean Duncan was the eldest of Robert Duncan’s sisters and was around eighteen years older than him. She married Joe Kemlo and together they had six children.
The age different meant that her children were similar ages to their Uncle, my grandfather. One of them, Andrew, and my grandfather were particularly close and he was best man to my Grandpa when he married in 1923.
